Hello, my name is

Andrew Simpson

BSc (Hons), MSc (By Research), CEng, MBCS, MIPEM

I am currently training as a Clinical Scientist in the Medical Physics Department at The South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in clinical physiological measurement. Here I focus on finding technical solutions to complex clinical problems, and I perform physiological measurements directly on patients.

I graduated with BSc (Hons) Computer Science & Networking in 2011 and later undertook a MSc (By Research) in Computer Science at the University of York’s Human-Computer-Interaction research group with Professor Paul Cairns as my supervisor.

I am the current Chair of BCS Teesside and a Chartered Engineer.
